He was a good fighter, fan friendly and tested himself. That was good enough for me.

But constant 396-1 promo and getting big fights early did wonders for him that a part of his stan fan base thought he can do no wrong regardless of how many losses he ended up having. Part of his stan fan base even give him more credit than Usyk. Usyk is what a lot of Loma fans think Loma is. Only difference is Usyk actually cleared up his division, fought everyone went up and did the same. Loma did not. He has been inactive of his own accord he could have fought Tank could have fought Shakur last year or even now. Never won Haney and Teo. Rigo he beat a fighter basically 2 divisions below him. He doesn't have the same ambition. No world champion who claims i have no motivation and holds belt hostage should be given extra credit.

It is common, no doubt, absolutely. You can hate a fighter because of his fans, absolutely, you're right. I never understood it, but you're right, absolutely.

A common internet boxing thing. I am fairly certain the larger proportion of people who buy major PPVs do not have forum accounts or engage in social media flame wars. That's the preserve of an outspoken minority of angry male losers who live vicariously through others.

A loser like Century Tuna, for example, probably genuinely believes he personally is more successful than Manny Pacquiao because he supports Terence Crawford vociferously on the internet.

I don't have issues with him not fighting Tank and Shakur at that stage of his career. Kind of asking a lot considering he already fought Lopez and Haney.
