Does that disturb you? Understandable. If you look around you, its true, you may not see much evidence of That which is most high... But look at things carefully and this is what you see:

Nothing ever really is destroyed, things change form. So I drink water, I piss, the piss chemicals go into a the soil, and the water molecules return to the cycle. Your house is burned...the wood turns to charcoal, the water and cellulose in the wood change form.

So... you have this thing called self awareness, consciousness and it concerns you it may be destroyed. Well consciousness can be argued to be a by product of the body... But its a weak argument in my opinion, and I say this as a Buddhist! Buddhists are not generally believers in a soul that is everlasting.

Heres the thing: First the mechanism of consciousness, which makes us aware of the soul... If you thought carefully about it you would see there are many illogical points if we think it is just the body. Ill give you a few here to prove that we do not cease...

1) There is no action that can happen without a cause and effect it would seem... And certainly one cannot lift objects with their mind right? So how do we do this with our will? specifically when you think "I want to pick up my computer and tell Billeau he is nuts!" Lets carefully review what happens, keep up, this will give you some insight!

1) Your will wants to act: "That nut Billeau he done it this time I am going to post right now!"

2) Suddenly from just a thought, your brain will start to fire chemicals that will enable you to act on your will.

3) Your brain says "arms pick up computer, post" and you post, follow me?

now think about this sequence carefully and you will prove to yourself that our brains are engramic... That thought you had to post back? It did not come from your brain... Your brains, pick up and grow from thoughts, but... thoughts come from, nowhere really.

You violate many principles of material reality every time you act on your body. Something has to give your brain the signal to act, but a thought is not material is it? So in essence, you are creating a physical act of will, from nothing... That is illogical.

Either the laws of physics do not apply to us, or, something else is driving thoughts, feelings, and actions... Something more than any physical part of us.

The logical conclusion is that our bodies are an extension of something far greater, bigger. And if you ever doubt it? try to explain how a thought could be produced, and how an action can come from a cause that is not material... How a thought can produce an effect on something. I my not be able to lift a book without my body, but by thinking what I want...the book gets lifted.

Nobody ever talks about just what would happen if there is a Heaven. Ok, there you are, now what? So you are a what? You do what? You need what? Just what do you do?

A life with no music, competition, ***, sounds pretty......no thanks to me. BUT.....if we do show up in Heaven that means you aren't in Hell, which is a better deal.
