What is the most scared you've been in your whole life?

For me, I can think of two times:

1.) When I defended my undergraduate thesis
(topic was a radiation detector) and was waiting in the hall until they called me back in to tell me it was accepted.

2.) A couple of years ago a crazy guy approached me and my brother in downtown Minneapolis and said he knew we were cops and was going to shoot us in the head, then we all just stood there while he stared at us for a good 30 seconds. In my mind I knew "I successfully defended my Physics thesis and know wrestling and boxing so I'm just going to stand here hoping you don't have a gun and if you don't you are toast." After about 30 seconds he just walked away saying something about Allah. Personally, this was a -1 for the ****** religion.

I was driving from Vegas back to Phoenix in a severe rain storm and had bad tires on the vehicle... I thought I was gonna slide off the road

I think if you experienced a January Minnesota snowstorm, that wouldn't seem as bad. I love Christmas but dread it at the same time nowadays because it means driving 4 hours around Minnesota in late December/early January. It's brutal weather - anywhere from 30F to -30F. Unforgiving if your car breaks down in the countryside. Back when I was a kid it was deadly and things like only traveling in daylight or if there were two cars was a thing. Now that everyone has a cell phone it's safe for a not brand new car to travel between towns by itself during the harsh winter months.

But for real in 0 degree F weather if your car breaks down you have like 20 minutes before frostbite sets in.

My whole life Ive been living in a desert so Im not used to driving under those conditions.. and it was a combination of the massive rain fall and the bad tires... I was legit scared, I pulled over and called my dad lmao

Being adopted age 6, have had a slight underlying fear of the unknown ever since.
