McDonalds CEO Forced To Step Down After Having A Consensual Relationship With Worker

A bit harsh, since like 50% of relationships start at the work place already.

I'd estimate 80% of my coworkers are dating each other or have gotten married to each other.

These rules apply to you when your public visibility hits a certain level. In normal reality almost everyone meets their significant other where they spend all of their time (school as a kid, work as an adult).

          Well played.

          Break ups are usually ugly.
Better to remove the time bomb out of the company.

He made it obvious that he was ****ing the help. Then dude got investigated by the Big Macs. I bet some nasty **** was unearthed during said investigation.

The same kind of **** that creates problems down the road, when an angry women decides to write a tell all about f**cking the CEO of McDonalds.

Should of hid that **** like a real boss.

That is the same thing I say. Once the relationship is over it can get very messy and the corporation can be on the hook.

I did work for one company that put it in no uncertain terms, in my offer letter, that seeing someone who works under you would be grounds for dismissal. That being said, coworkers with other working relationships (different departments, working at the same level) etc would be fine with the caveat that neither could be promoted to a position of being the superior to the other. (They had a similar restriction for relatives as well)

Their stated concern was that they didn't want people to use positions of power in the company to influence their personal relationships, or something like that.
