Roosevelt Ave is like a blast from the past of old school, pre-2000s NYC.
One of the last places in the city where you will find women all over the place, walking down the street in fishnets and high heel boots, saying hello to every one, just letting it known what they there for.
The only place I know where you can easily find after hours parties going on past 4am. Even Jamaican brehs in the Bronx play by the rules and know when to shut down. Not Roosevelt. I'm talking some guy by a door with music playing upstairs, and he's like "yeah yeah we still open. Come in. Hurry up." Lookout guys cutting the music off soon as they see some police presence.
I was once walking through Roosevelt and saw a lady with her bare ******* all out, just walking down the street like it's nothing.
Roosevelt is wild man. Everyone should party there at least one night just to get an experience of sleazy old school style NYC.
