Old Jamiaca extra firey is my go to - great mixer for rum or vodka for a top notch Mule plus a good squeeze of lime.

EDIT: Forgive my uneducated Helleno-Anglic ass, I always just assumed American root beer and Ginger beer were basically the same thing but a quick search indicates they ain't at all. Never tried American root beer though so it'll maybe have to go on my do list.

Hmm. Wonder if anyone ever tried making a beverege out of horseraddish... that's one I'd try.

I've always been a fan of A&W, but I can totally see why Mug's Root Beer would be a favorite. There's something so refreshing about a chilled root beer, especially when you've got a scoop of vanilla ice cream to make a float. Yum!
