All you religious people

As many know I'm not a religious person. But I do believe in the values of faith. Yeah odd I know.

Anyway, as a non religious person it seems there's a war on religion. Why do you think this is happening? Do you see it also or am I tripping?

I've seen rappers flash SATAN in concerts. We just had a shooting in a Christian school and the president hasn't said a word about religion. He did however say we have to support trans people.

We saw it with covid also and lockdowns in churches. What's your thoughts?

Control.

Government control of the people.

Under communism the state is all-powerful instead of Allah.

No religion gives the government the final say on right/wrong.

Government wants to control your actions.

This isn't absolute. China is still ruled by commies but doesn't have godless social values.

There is only a war on Christianity. Maybe ******* on a smaller scale. No war on Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, or Wiccans. The strange part is that the radical left condemns the Christian right for their conservative values, but embraces Islam which is way more conservative and way more intolerant of gays and women’s rights.

It ties into their Communist roots which denounces religion, but largely Christians.

I was raised Catholic but I am non-practicing. I am agnostic.

It started with the picking and choosing which rules to follow in the bible.

If we didn't allow the picking and choosing, we wouldn't have slid so far.

Their level of devotion is half-azzed compared to ******s

I struggle with if there is a God. I listen to both sides and one said says yes God is real. Then I listen to people that say they don't believe in God but support Satan. This puts me at odds because, if they believe in Satan wouldn't you have to believe in God?

This is my thoughts as well. It never hurts to do the right things no matter what you believe in.

I’m with you. I’ve seen too much human suffering and injustice to believe there is an all-loving God. Too much contradiction as well. If God is all-forgiving then why would there be a hell? Why do children die of disease, murder, and accidents while horrible criminals live to be 85 and die happy? Why is there famine and starvation in some parts of the world but drug cartels living the good life?

I don’t believe in after life. I do believe there is something bigger than us somewhere in the universe, be it a superior life form, religious God of some sort, or whatever. Not sure what that means for us.

I had an interesting conversation with a priest years ago. I asked why priests couldn’t be married. The Catholic church’s explanation is that they want a priest to be Christ-like and spread their love equally among all people. No loving one person more than another. The priest said it was bullshyt…the Catholic Church just doesn’t want to pay for a priest to have a family. It’s all about money.

Like any religion there are moderates and extremists. ******s take their faith very seriously. But the radical left only mocks Christian’s who take their faith too seriously, and won’t dare criticize the radical factions of Islam. You won’t see any #Metoo ****s marching against Islam while women are still expected to wear burkas and walk behind men.
