What do you get someone for a 50th bday party?

Wife is turning the big 50 this year. She popped up with "I want a party" she seems to be taking this turning 50 thing pretty good lol. I'm 48 and I dread 50! But hey she's good with it and that means I'm good with it lol.

Anyway I got about 1k so far into this party so far. Got 40 plus people confirmed so far. Now I have to think of a gift. Normally throughout our 30 years together this has been easy. She has every purse and shoes you can think of. She has a ton of ***elry. What the hell do I get her. Yeah I know I should know this stuff but I'm fresh out of ideas after all these years.

I was thinking about another LV purse but I think I've overdone that one and she has a load of them already. I need some serious help fellas. Any ideas? Trust, I wouldn't be asking here unless I was truly stumped. Ideas please!

Missus Ks Birthday this Tuesday - her 49th - so not too far different. She's more into 'experiences' than stuff anyway and she's into the hippie side of the health and wellbeing scene so it's gonna be a reset retreat and wild swims with some folks we know who do breathwork and icebaths



Good peoples Sam and Miranda - kinda knew her a little bit during my party days years back and he's from my home town but was off doing soldiering around that sort of time. They do a lot of work with ex-servicemen and the police - dudes at high risk of PTSD and stuff, as well as the regular middle class mums and hippie types. Anyways their gig is based a bit on the Wim Hoff method but tweaked alittle bit to make it slightly less hardcore for the casual clientel.

Or if she's into something a bit more daring you could get her flying lessons or some shit - that's what my brother got me for my 50th last October though I haven't arranged a date yet cos of my fucked up eye. Gotta take it before June though so farly soon.

And don't worry about turning 50 man - it's just a number. Honestly I'm as happy and content as I've ever been and still doing the **** I want to be doing. Just a matter of having the right way of thinking about life and just getting on with it.

We do a lot because of where we live. Tahoe is 45min away and we just got back from a week long spring break vacation. We spend a ton of time there throughout the year. We go to a lot of concerts also so nothing on that front.
As I'm sure you know it's tough when you've been together a long time. It seriously gets tougher each each to figure out gifts.

We're doing flying lessons for our daughter this year for her bday as she wants to be a pilot. But the wife isn't into that kind of thing. I bought up that we should skydive and she was like naw I'm good right here on the ground lol. I dunno man this is a head scratcher!

As for me turning 50 in a couple years. I'm still young at heart. I drive a modded truck on 24s with a custom fiberglass speaker box. I listen to the same music as my daughter and when we go to town we bump music like I did from my early car show days lol.

My buddies give me crap saying I should be listening to country or stuff my age. I dunno it just hasn't hit me yet. So it's not really the number, as it is more others saying act your age haha.

I dunno I'll probably just do the bag thing as it's always been a winner. I just wanted to do something different is all. But it is what it is I guess.

Have fun with that flying! After my daughter does it I'll probably do it also.
