The fact checks are described as 'neither false nor defamatory', what's being described as protected opinion is Facebboks use of the label 'fact check'. Problem the plaintiff got is - apparently - trying to sue Meta for passing on information they weren't responsible for producing.

There's no crime in simply attaching the label 'fact check' to the content provided by Climate Feedback even if it wasn't accurate. But it was accurate anyway so the the accusation of defamation is a double fail.
