Can my friends across the pond, Will, Denium, etc explain something about the Sarah Everard abduction to me?

So I am reading about this case, it is very sad. I am thinking to myself this is a public safety issue right? Its about women being relatively safe (I mean London is relatively safe compared to other cities) when traversing the streets right? Then I start hearing about women and bullying and other such things.

I looked back on the information and wonder am I missing something? How did an abduction, a safety issue turn into an issue of women being bullied, discriminated against?

How does one translate to the other?

A woman was abducted and murdered by a serving met policeman.

It's a scary case because we expect the police in our country to protect us, and apparently this officer was armed, most police in the UK aren't allowed to carry guns. Its fking horrible and my heart goes out to the girls family.

The woman was white and middle-class from London, and now all the man hating feminists & soy boys on Twitter are blaming all men, and are calling for silly stuff like a 6pm curfew on men.

Of course nobody in the real world are blaming all men for the actions of a murderer, and it's a shame these people didn't get anywhere near irate about all the poor northern girls getting abused and ****d by grooming gangs.

Thanks much! I thought as much but felt like maybe I was missing some part of the trajedy, like this guy had bullied her a few times, when in fact, he happens to be a psychopath. Yes, it occurs to me that walking in London is not like what women have to put up with in places like the Punjabi province of India, or even other areas you speak of. It makes me sick how people are turning this into more government control, curfews. Its not like women can walk with someone, or not go to certain areas that are dangerous... and frankly, how many cops turn out to be maniacs like this guy?

Thanks for lacing me up on this one!

Let see if this gets used by American anti cop advocates. White females used to be the most protected class. Are they still

It's a tragic situation that's being exploited by the ******* lunatics, which isn't uncommon these days.

The same reason some back criminal getting killed by the police in Minneapolis means the Washington Redskins need to change their name. There is no connection, certain leftists just feel to need to jump on their soapbox and make a bigger deal out of things than is necessary, all for attention. I don't think anyone out there is saying the police should choke people to death even if they are of less than sound character, or that off duty police should murder women, but that won't stop leftists from over-reacting even though a crime has been committed, everyone acknowledges this, and the perpetrator is being brought to justice the legal way. Women are perfectly safe here, one guy killing one woman doesn't change that

I'm pretty sure I read that a woman was charged for assisting the murder too... but I don't know the details of how she might've assisted, or even if it's true.

What's really got people angry and making protests about this case is that this police officer apparently exposed himself in some restaurants, was investigated and then exposed himself again and nothing was done about it. All this was before the murder took place.
