Not because I hold any special love for Sony or hate for Microsoft but I can't reconcile with what Xbone tried to pull.
Microsoft struck out at us, they tried to **** us, and there are no guarantees that these policies won't be coming back later.
It goes without saying that if you read MSFTs EULA that they can alter the agreement anytime they wish.
Don Mattrick's statement is also cleverly worded that the policies will change at "launch" but what after?
I own a 360 right now and it would be much easier to stick with MSFT but is it the right thing to do?
I don't think so, not in my opinion, they haven't really learned anything.
Xbox one is still always on, Kinect is still always watching, monitoring, and collecting information on the consumer at all times. To be used by MSFT and it's partners however without permission.
Mark my words if the consumer runs back to MSFT we'll be having this argument again in 2 to 3 years time.
I'll play out my 360 titles then I'm making the jump to PS4. I'll probably give my 360 away to a poor kid or something.
I hate to be the voice of reason and rain on all the celebration but this is reality.
