Sorry, out of all times for a new Assassins Creed to come out, now was
seriously not the time, There is Gears 3, Uncharted 3, Battlefield 3, MW3, Arkham City, Skyrim, Zelda, Fifa 12, Nba 2K12, Etc, Do you really think people
are gonna choose this Same ass Assassin Creed, with the same ass engine, doing the same ass shit over all these great new games??? no, nobody cares about Altair, bro.

Assassins creed is a great game.

I love Altair he's a ****in G, but I still haven't finished part 2 then I gotta do Brotherhood, then I can play the new one that's coming out.

Its still a great game and will sell during Christmas time.

The now now games are the shooters, the after games are usually smaller big titles like Assassins creed.

I bought the first one for Xbox 360....it was fun for like a week.

after that I never played it again. Didn't buy 2 or how ever many came after that.

Only played the first assassins creed, really liked the story line but the game play is just too damn repetitive. You enjoy it for the first couple of hours but then it gets really boring.

If you've played Assassin's Creed and enjoyed it but got bored you HAVE to get Assassin's Creed II. They really listened to the complaints and really got their shit together. It's outstanding.

Essentially the first game consists of the following: Go to a city. Speak to the Assassin shopkeeper. Listen in on a conversation. Pick someone's pocket. Beat the snot out of someone. Do a fetch quest/assassination task. Assassinate the target. Rinse. Repeat.

The second game has a considerably better story, far more varied missions, more weapons, deeper characters etc. It also forgoes the ludicrous videogame convention of "You are a master assassin, but you messed up, so we are stripping you of your rank. This means you are unable to parry attacks for some reason until you have completed a set number of missions".

Even the optional assassin missions in Assassin's Creed II are more varied and interesting than the main targets in the first game. It's available for like $20, so you should definitely get it.

Funny, AC:R is the only game I'm reserving right now, even though i'm a huge Mass Effect and Gears fan. AC2 and AC:B were masterpieces with excellent gameplay, all those who stopped playing after the first missed out on the better games in the series, the first was actually the weakest.

Still plan on getting Gears soon, Mass Effect can wait IMHO. Sadly there's a lot of great games coming out in the last quarter of '11 and at least I can't afford all of them at once.

All the games you mentioned there are sequels, not 'great new games'. The have the "same ass engine, doing the same ass things" as well....

What you should have said was "I prefer playing Gears 3, Uncharted 3, Battlefield 3, MW3, Arkham City, Skyrim, Zelda, Fifa 12, Nba 2K12 to Assassins Creed" - That is basically what you mean there mate.

I maxed out the graphics of the 2nd one on my computer and the graphics looked like a ps2 game at 1080p. I was very unimpressed by the character models. The funny thing is, the first Assassins Creed actually looked better than the 2nd one. Don't ask me how thats possible.

Not much point playing it again.
