    IT IS WAY BETTER!

    Having it, it's amazing.

It's pretty much like VR undefeated, but better.

    Pros about it:
    - They fixed the whole body shot problem. They aren't as cheap now.
    - More realistic punch out puts/connect rates
    - PRO JAPANESE BOXERS (Eagle Kyowa, Hozumi Hasegawa, and others)
    - Indepth career mode (like Victorious road)
    - Makers of the victorious boxers series
    - Realistic gameplay
    - Their is money in career mode, which makes it a lot harder
    - Boxers can break Jaws, arms, etc
    - Many styles to choose from in career mode
    - Pro boxers under different names (Ex:Ali named Ari Thompson)
    - They added some pro boxers in under different names that VR didn't have. (Ex: Roy Jones is in under Robert Jones, Mayorga, Judah, John Ruiz, De la hoya [?], Kessler, and others)
    - Photo option for career mode. (So awesome, take a picture of someone like yourself or a pro boxer and it makes them in the game as a boxer)
    - YOU CAN BLOCK!!!!

    Cons:
    - In exhibition boxers are too weak and get knockdown to easily, imo. My fights never go more then 3 rounds usually, but that's probably because I'm good at the game. Just wish they wouldn't get knocked down as much
    - No online play.
    - The belts have fake names. The WBC is the WBS
    - In VR the boxers under different names looked really like the pro boxers (EX: Ari looked a lot like Ali does in real life), but in BR2 they have different hairdos and crap. It's disapointing, but luckily the boxers still feel you are playing as them (Except Ali plays like way past him prime Ali and is slow as ****)
    - No create a boxer mode just for the hell of it. It would have been nice to be able to make boxers and making them without having to do career mode and ****.

Still it's ****ing awesome. My boxer (Bernard Hopkins, but doesn't play like him) uses a hitman style. His record is 36 wins (19 KOs) 5 loses (2 were outright Robberies) and 1 draw (Close fight, but I dominated the guy in the rematch). Right now I am going for the WBA middleweight title. After that I plan to jump up to lightheavy weight (My health and crap are kinda low, so I am just gonna gain weight and health to jump up).

    Very recommened game.

IMO VB2 Boxers Road was mad hard son! Career mode. >WHAT! I used to get knocked down alot.

This game looks way better. Its funny how they fit all that **** in that little UMD disc.

They have it at a store nearby my house. Im about to get it. Its good that you can block now.. I seen the video I was like.. That's it.. Better than fight night lol.. All VB needed all the time was a block button. Now they have it. Im getting this ****.

            Yeah blocking is so awesome.

Sadly though, you can't switch with between block or sway unless you unlock the technique, which I have (well I actually used a save, but whatever).

Still, blocking is so useful. That's all my boxer really relies on.

            His 5 main weapons are:

            - Blocking
            - The jab
            - Right straight
            - Right hook
            - His speed (Around 900 k, great speed)

Still, the power balance is really uneven. I mean some of the pro boxers under different names go down in about two hits (like Barrera and Ruiz). It's just really gay, though what I admire most about these series of games is that:

THEY ALWAYS MAKE IT BETTER EACH GAME.

They fix certain things in each game, which makes it more enjoyable then the last. Here's to boxer's road 3 I guess.

Yea.. Sounds good.. Thanks for the pros and cons man. I was waiting to see if someone had it. I was gonna get it regardless. Now I can play something on my 1 hour train ride to school.

                  @ warp

                  Long time no hear from.

                  @ everyone else

This game rocks. I moved to the heavyweight ranks and I am 45-0. And believe me that is after lots of work and training. wining in this game is not a cake walk. As warp said, even some decisions are robberies (like real life). There are flash KOs, injuries, training. You have to make weight or risk being stripped of a title.

                  on a scle of 1 to 10, this is a 9.5.

Yeah, that and you HAVE TO FIGHT mandatories. It's kinda bad because I was ready to move on to the world stage, but had to defend the OPBF title before doing that. Still it's pretty cool.

My Boxer is 37 wins(20 Knockouts), 7 loses, and 1 draw. Something like that. Might be off by a number or two in the wins. That and I might have just 6 loses. Though two of those were pure Robberies, which is a shame because one was my 8th title defense of the JBC and the 2nd was for a world title!! Beat him good the next time though.

Yeah, I'd say 9.5 or a 9. I really hope they make boxers road 3 though.
