  • I hope he stays “retired”. I don’t wanna see him an AJ get a massive payday against each other tbh. The fight could and should have been groundbreaking for British boxing. It could’ve been the first (arguably first ever) genuine super fight on these shores in multi-decades for...

  • He sat around doing nothing, he lost his ranking and all career momentum. And yes those were his prime years. Catterall should’ve pursued a final eliminator. Jack is a talented fighter with a unfavourable style, he was never going to get a voluntary. Hitchins is a similar type of fighter, yet...

  • Not happening. Smith is going the WBO route and likely fighting Yarde.

  • I think he’s really wasted his potential. He sat around waiting on that Taylor rematch for years. In the meantime guys like Rolly Romero were winning world titles at 140. I think it’s a travesty that someone with Jack’s ability will retire having only won a British title....

  • Yeah I was at the Thomas fight too, I actually got Thomas by decision in play at 33/1. Apparently Froch had Allen 5-6 rounds up on commentary, hence why Skybet were offering crazy odds.

He’s literally just a big durable lump with no boxing ability....

  • Pretty sure it’s a Saudi backed event but not 100% sure tbf....

  • It’s the Saudi money. Same problem in the US. Everyone is just waiting around for Saudi funded events, both promoters and fighters. As a result there’s no quality shows being scheduled outside of the Riyadh Season wrapper....

  • At one point I did think Allen was gonna headline a Matchroom PPV. Had he beat Price in 2019, I’ve been told Allen-Povetkin was lined up for the O2 Arena later that year and I reckon it could’ve been a PPV headliner....

  • Catterall could’ve been a world champion, instead he’s just chased paydays. Expect him to call out Taylor for a trilogy or Conor Benn rather than target a world title.

Massive underachiever based on his natural ability IMO.

  • The division is very weak atm. Barrios is a very fortunate world champion IMO.

But I do agree the accomplishment would be a huge feat....

  • That’s my point. Nobody remembers Lalonde but everyone remembers Ray won world titles in 5 different weight classes, which he was the first to do as at the time as the WBO wasn’t recognised.

People won’t remember Barrios but they’ll remember the accomplishment,...

  • I don’t particularly rate Barrios either but the accomplishment would stand up historically.

Donny Lalonde was no great shake but that win still holds up for Leonard IMO. I put it more in that category than Foreman-Moorer....

  • What would a win mean for Pacquiao?

Listen, I do not wanna see Manny fight again at 46 and I suspect it ends badly but unfortunately it looks like it’s happening.

So what would a win mean for Pacquiao? He’d be the 2nd oldest fighter to win a world title after B-Hop. He’d be to my knowledge the only fighter...
