i was looking at some gear and there is alot of different things. so i was wondering what do i need to get going? i dont have a lot of money, most of money will be spent on gym fee's, dont know how much yet, and gas money. so i will be getting the bare neccesties at first. what kind of gloves do i need? i seen there were like 4 different kind. should i just go with the bag/sparring kind? whats the differance in women and mens boxing gloves? or is it just they are pink? what kind of shoes should i get if i need any right away high or low tops? and about hand wraps. i seen there are some tape ones and there are some glove type one. which one is best? sorry for all the questions

Bag gloves are pretty important. I use cloth handwraps so I can reuse them over and over. I have a pair Everlast training gloves I use to hit the mitts and spar with and a pair of Rival bag gloves to hit the heavy bag. I have a few other things, but this should help get you started.

you dont need any boxing shoes/boots, you can just use some random running shoes you have sitting at home somewhere. boxing boots are just a luxury for people that already have everything, its not neccessary for people starting out. high tops are always better but if you dont have them already dont bother buying them now, you can do that later on.
theres no difference in male/female gloves really. i guess some of the pink ones maybe really are for women so they're probably a bit smaller but you should fit into the other gloves as well. start out with some bag gloves, you can find them at ringside or title, they have decent gloves for around 50 bucks for the bag. bag gloves have less and more dense padding to protect your hands. sparring gloves have more and softer padding to protect your opponents face.
as for the handwraps just get some mexican style (means they're semi-elastic). dont get the glove type wraps, they dont offer as much protection for your hands. but it is a good way to fill out a glove if the gloves are too big. advanced boxers dont wear these however, they all just use the handwraps. you can start out with either, especially if you need to add bulk to your hands to fit a glove.

With shoes, I liked the wrestling shoes that I bought. So light, I just dug 'em.
With the gloves they are either sparring or they are heavybag gloves. Never use the same gloves for bagwork and sparring.
It is very common that boxing gyms furnish gloves and such for each night. Do these guys offer that?
Where do you generally live? ...........Rockin'
