That’s a fun fight, I’d rather watch that than him against some unknown cruiser with a padded record. No disrespect to the gentleman, just not lots of names in the division.
I don’t think CBS is wrong about the relative insignificance of a Yarde fight but he’s delusional if he thinks hordes of people are clamoring to see him fight anyone. period. He had his chance to rise above being just another alphabet champion against Zurdo and he came up short. He’s not good enough to be in “I’m too good to fight this guy or that guy” mode.

There's no reason he couldn't do a decent summer homecoming to Bournemouth. And he's right, all people would do if he stopped Yarde is make excuses. If I was him, I'd take an undercard fight Spring 2025 against somebody in the WBC lower top 15 he'd expect to beat as a bounce back fight. Then try and position for an eliminator in Bournemouth in the football off season at the Vitality.
