Errol Spence is an obvious recent example. He loved his flashy cars and getting drunk. The brain damage from his drunken crash was obvious when Crawford picked him apart and made him look like a blind old man.

I also heard Kelly Pavlik was drinking in training camp before the Bernard Hopkins fight, and it showed.

Some got away with it. Hatton's career ended early but mostly got away with it. Calzaghe was a huge cokehead and nobody really knew. Tyson Fury every fight you think is this going to be it when he finally gets whooped. He embarassed himself last fight but still eeked out the win but come on it was the guys first fight at 37.
