Seeing as how the first two rounds were Tyson's best, and Jones had a very very bad chin, I don't pick Jones to do any better than Spinks prime-to-prime.

Not to hijack, but can you show me this? I believe Jones always had a good chin.

He got KTFOed by Antonio Tarver, and even moreso by Glen Johnson, and neither is known as being devastating punchers...what is going to happen when he moves up to heavyweight against not only a bone crushing power puncher, but one of the most techically advanced punchers in history? KTFO that is what...

I didn't say he wouldn't get KTFO by Tyson. Jones proved to have a good chin throughout his entire career.

Tyson got KTFO by Douglas, that doesn't mean his chin was glass either. He had a granite chin.

I'd pick Tyson over Jones by KO too.

But I'd take a look at Roy Jones's chin from 1988-2003. He took some serious whacks without complaint and I'm sure he was only knocked down once in those 15 years (lou Del Valle). Thats a hell of a long time as a pro, 10 years in serious world class beating mostly larger guys too.

His chin took a serious downfall after losing the weight he had gained for heavyweight. I'm not a neurosurgeon, but it might be down to the reduction in fluid that surrounds the brain due to the weight making, or the reduction in muscle mass in his neck muscles. Who knows? His chin wasn't always that bad at all. It was shockingly bad against Green (a wayward tennis ball looked like it would cause more damage than that punch!), its surely proof that chins can depreciate!

He shook off some real blitzers from Montel Griffin first time round! Check out some of his earlier fights, not a bad chin at all.

But its all academic, he wouldn't beat prime Tyson!!!

To be honest, the Tyson who lost to Buster Douglas would have beaten Michael Spinks. I never bought Spinks as a legitimate heavyweight.
