he would def ice louis, because louis had 2 left feet....he would never beat ali....ken norton has the right style to beat ali, joe louis does not....and i hope no one really tries to argue that...

Yes. Ali would still beat Louis. He was still much faster on his feet, and his chin was supreme. He tooks bombs from Shavers and Foreman, Frazier and Lyle. Just huge punches and stayed up. He would just jab and move, hold, he had pretty quick hands even after his lay off.

      Louis never beats Ali.

Do you mean the Ali that faced frazier in March of 1971 with only eighteen rounds in four years? If so,Ali would lose and get stopped late on.I'd pick many heavyweights over the rusty Ali that faced "smokey" Joe.

Prime Ali dances circles around "slow" Joe Louis.

Which HW beat a post 71 Ali?

That Ali was still sharp, and his chin and heart are the best ever. That version is 2-1 against Joe, beat Foreman, beat Norton 2-1, has wins over Shavers and many other big ****ers.

Frankly, the 2nd greatest HW ever may be Ali 71-75. 1st being Ali before his lay off.

I believe Muhammad Ali would still beat Joe Louis after his 3 1/2 year lay-off.

He took the best punch of all the heavyweight champions.

He was still fairly hard to hit from 1971-75

I believe Joe Louis would have to KO Ali to win the fight, and that would be a very hard thing to do.He wouldn't be able to out point Ali and expect to win.

Joe Louis didn't put the kind of pressure on Ali that Joe Frazier could and did.

Joe Louis would have a hard time cutting the ring on Ali,even the Ali after the 3 1/2 years.Ali still danced 12 rounds against both Norton and Joe Frazier in there 2nd fights, and had trouble catching him and landing a "clean" punch.Joe Louis would have even more trouble cutting off the ring. But even if he did cut the ring, Ali's iron chin would still be there.

              ali vs louis

no way he defeats louis he could not defeat frazier and louis is a better boxer and ****er than frazier louis by late round stoppage

But "style wise" isn't Frazier a harder match up for Ali than Louis?

Frazier put alot more pressure on Ali than Louis could?

Remember,Ali beat Frazier 2 out of 3.And KO'd George Forman.

You stated Ali could not beat Frazier. This is not correct.

If Tommy Farr and Arturo Godoy could fight a Prime Joe Louis on even terms,I'm sure Muhammad Ali after his 3 1/2 year lay-off could have done so too.But Ali was still much better than Farr and Godoy after his lay-off.

ali never would have beaten louis, he made too many mistakes. plus, fast hands gave ali trouble. that with louis power, jab, body punches and fiece couterpunching sees ali seeing stars before the 15 is over. ali may not even win a decision. he slowed up by the 7 th round and maybe outscored
