Amadeus was a musical genius but an idiot outside of the musical realm. This applies to many artistic, sports and business geniuses who achieve incredible brilliance in one small area of talent. The trade off is being so strong in one area, they are extremely weak in other areas of life. The balance is off. Tyson is a genius in the realm of boxing.

To be entirely honest, I find Mozart overrated as a composer as well. Someone like, say, Igor Stravinsky was much more a "genius" than Amadeus was.

        since we are discussing genius

        solve this
        1 - 4 - 8 -18 - ?

if you get it within one minute you are mensa
if it takes you five minutes you are average
if you can't solve it you are a halfwit. You are an epsilon semi moron. you are the same as joe bugner. you are not box office you are a dork.

Queeny you can sit this one out as you are our elder statesman on this forum and shouldn't be humiliated at this late stage of your life. keep taking the glucosamine and regular prostate checks and let the young whipper snappers take a try. They are just sissy boys anyway queeny innit? crying like sissy girls.
Here is a general knowledge question
        who is this young man?
        an actor. gab.jpg

It all actually sounds the same generally, Chopin, Beethoven, it's hard to detect the patterns and styles. I'm basing Amadeus character off the movie from the 80s. Mad reckless disorganized, only cared about creating his music and getting his snatch, not money. Great film!

They say the biopic is as close to reality as any biopic ever made. They say that his life was exactly just like the movie!

Do you mean Mozart's character as a man, then maybe! But only just maybe.

The relationship with Sallieri; the entire plot of the film was based on a conspiracy theory created a hundred years after Mozart's death.

Historians across the board thought the film fantasy not history.

I did have a little chuckle.

Many Scots think Braveheart is a documentary.

By a correct definition he is no idiot. That is just slang. I think numbers contain the truth all right. The numbers never promised he would make wise decisions, but that he could solve puzzles better than most. The solving of puzzles did not extend to his personal life. How is Bobby doing these days?
