Vitali Klitschko vs George Foreman
The Immovable Object meets the Irresistible Force a true clash of two big tough dudes from either side of the Atlantic. Neither fighter takes a backwards step and are come forward aggressive power punchers. If this were a video game their power and chin stats would be completely maxed out. You have the most durable chin almost cast from iron against the strongest and most powerful puncher. Would Foremans punches have any effect on Vitalis mandible or would the Ukrainian withstand the punishment and finish off Big George in the latter rounds. A difficult fight to predict that could go either way.
Physically Vitali is about 4 inches taller, 30 lbs heavier and has 1 inch in reach. In terms of power both hit extremely hard with 87% and 84% KO ratios someones getting put to sleep. Speed favours Foreman, chin obviously goes to Klitschko as well as heart and stamina. Ring IQ is close even though George was excellent at cutting off the ring and forcing opponents to fight to his strengths Vitali was an awesome ring general and very rarely lost rounds so not much in it.
Once the formalities are complete the bell sounds and the both come marching to the centre of the ring and start throwing bombs. Neither is giving an inch, Vitali is establishing his jab and following it up with hard rights. Foreman is landing some good thudding blows to his foes chin that open up a small cut over the left eye. 1 minute in and blood is already starting to trickle down the Ukrainians face. The sight of crimson accelerates Foremans attacks who comes in throwing spiteful left hooks and right crosses that all seem to land. Vitali is taken back by the sheer force of the blows and is struggling to avoid them. Foreman is a man possessed tearing through Vitalis guard causing some serious damage, the cut has opened up further and blood has now started to flow from Vitalis nose. The round ends with George dominating but having exerted a lot of energy.
Foreman had the most trouble with movers who countered his punches and tired him out. V. Klitschko is too big, too slow and too robotic to employ such a strategy hes only option is to ride out the storm and take out a tired George. Round two and Foreman is again on top landing hard clean shots against the huge target in front of him. Vitali lands some good rights but just doesnt have the punch selection to truly worry the American, it also helps that Big George can see the punches coming and can block/parry effectively. Vitali steps in range and walks straight into an almighty left hook, sweat and blood flies off his head he tries to hold but a crushing overhand right finds the target and he falls into he ropes. Somehow the Ukrainian is still on his feet and Foreman is momentarily stunned any other man would have long been on the floor. He rushes in with a bombardment on punches some miss but the few that land finally cause the giant to tumble to the floor. Vitali looks up nodding to the ref while he counts once at 7 he somehow finds the strength to continue. The bell sounds mercilessly for him.
In between rounds Vitali is slowly recovering however Big George is already breathing heavy his corner plead with him to slow things down and catch his breath. Before he can the minutes over and its back to action. As he moves to the centre Vitali is still hurt but has the wherewithal to hold and lean on his foe. Not much activity for the first 90 seconds but with Foreman getting his wind back he starts throwing some menacing shots. Nothing too spectacular lands and we are into the 4th.
Round 4 and Vitali has his legs back but his face is a mess, two deep cuts over each eye, a broken nose and closing left eye dont make for a pretty sight. Nevertheless he doesnt even flinch when the corner addresses his wounds. A lot of hugging and not much punching happens in this round while both do their best to recover. The fighters come out for the fifth and Vitali is opening up with some piston left jabs and hard rights. George has got his second wind and knows this is his best chance to end the fight, he starts letting rip with his heavy blows. It doesnt matter if his left or right land whenever they do Vitali feels the power and towards the end of the round is stunned by another left hook, a hard right uppercut forces him to take a knee. Once again he beats the count but Big George comes in like a tornado landing another two punch combo that sends the Ukrainian down for the third and final time. The refs seen enough and the fights called off just in time as Foreman had literally emptied his tank.
