    In what world.

Kovalev beat Pascal from pillar to post for the entire fight, and people were just surprised because Pascal had a FEW moments during the fight.

And then they fought again and Kovalev just demolished him.

    Who has Bivol fought?

    Who has Stevenson fought?

I rank an old Hopkins who was still competitive over any of those guys Bivol has fought.

And like I said, the MAJORITY of the world thinks he beat Andre Ward (the consensus P4P king before his retirement) the first fight.

IF you just don't like the guy then fine, but don't pretend you're being rational about this.
You didn't get the point of my message

The first fight with Pascal was competitive if my memory serves. Pascal took few rounds but the rest of the fight was one-sided. But the point wasn't that Kovalev so bad he was struggling with Pascal (or Chilemba, whatever), the point is that current generation of Light heavyweights are better than the previous era when Kovalev was calling shots, and the fact that they destroy his former victims with ease is a proof of it. Considering that, you can't be sure that Kovalev is actually able to regain his status again, so let's see if he can do that before giving him his crown back

boxers get older and arent as good. calzaghe destroying roy jones with ease didnt mean too much when he did it so im not sure why destroying guys like pascal means much now. doesnt mean jones ****** cause he lost past his best. you cant properly compare them. you can only compare guys in the same era effectively.

These fighters (Agnew, Cleverly, Campillo etc.) never been as impressive as Bivol, Beterbiev, Gvozdyk or Barrera now, and they never had the same amateur accomplishments (maybe except for Sillakh, who turned out to be glass chinned and ain't suitable for pro game). That's the biggest intrigue about Kovalev, is he able to regain his status in stronger era? And if he can do that, he deserves to get back in p4p list. We'll see. As for now, he has to earn his spot again after 2 losses

Stevenson, Kovalev, Beterbierv, Bivol, Gvozdyk, Barrera, Jack and Smith jnr, yes this division is shaping up very well.

Kovalev and Stevenson are the obvious standouts currently but there is a lot of potentially great fights in there, i'm personally routing for Beterbeiv but Bivol looks very promising, he could well dominate the division it will be interesting to Bivol against Smith Jnr, Barrera or even Jack. Those would be good steps up for him
