This is why people on these boards don't take you seriously. Heighland is ranked #1 which means if GGG were to lose to or defeat Cotto the #1 challenger will automatically become the mandotory.Case in point if Johnson defeats Heighland, Johnson becomes the #1 challenger, also to retain your #1 challenger position or move up in ranking, you have to fight and defeat ranked opposition with in the same sanctioning body just like a mandotory to the champ. This is par for the course.

Lol who? KO'ed by Curtis Stevens, AFTER Stevens was KO'ed by GGG. Gotta promote your fighter I guess.

Tureano Johnson is currently 47th rated by BoxRec.com, but who knows; it could happen.

Lmao everyone wants to fight GGG apparently....

Also, this fight better not ****ing happen. Even someone getting dodged could find a better opponent than this.

I like Johnson. He seems like a great dude and he's a solid fighter. However, GGG would get absolutely crucified if this fight was made next. If you're Tom Loeffler, you have to get your fighter something bigger however you can or he will start looking to go elsewhere.

Actually Johnson was ahead on all cards and was beating Stevens. The ref stopped the fight early. The whole crowd went thumbs down to Stevens.,

Johnson seems like a pretty cool guy. He was down to fight Golovkin before as well. Essentially the three guys available for Golovkin's May fight was Johnson, Heiland and Monroe, all around the same caliber of fighter with Monroe looking like the most promising and posed the biggest challenge given his style and being a southpaw. Johnson vs Heiland is a pretty good fight for ESPN or whatever it will be on. If Johnson wins I'd like to see him fight Monroe or some one like that.

Jessie Brinkley beat Curtis even better and without getting caught. Also Derek Findley gave Stevens similar problems as Johnson, and he managed to score on knock down on Stevens.

Outboxing Curtis Stevens (something Gabe Rosado was doing in the tiny pit), isn't the litmus test to get you a shot or be competitive with Golovkin, unless you do like Golovkin did to Stevens and beat him down to nothing.

Tureano Johnson is not a bad little fighter he is definitely among the best of the MW bunch. He was tearing Stevens apart until a b.s stoppage.

This isn't a bad fight, Johnson would give any other MW absolute hell with his strength, relentless pressure and the volume he throws.

I'd take this over a lot of other opponents for GGG.

Tell you something he won't back down and will rush straight into GGGs grill and let leather fly. Would I rather that then some bum coming to survive four rounds? You bet.
