I have a horrible feeling that this is ending badly for Joyce. He really shoulda hung them up after the first defeat by 'Big ****' Zhang, He comes over as a good guy & I don't want to see him hurt & I genuinely can't see this ending well for him.

'Joe Joyce has a chance due to size and power but age and no dammmm heart may fail him once again!'

I don't think Joyce lacks heart at all. Look at his performances v Dubois, Parker & Chisora. He can't turn fights around once he goes behind, not because he isn't a warrior but just because, in truth, he isn't a natural boxer & probably never should've tried to be.

Hrgovic sucks but Joyce is done.

I'll go Hrgovic because he is seemingly a lot fresher but I wouldn't be hugely surprised if Joyce survived the early rounds and wore down a gassed out and rather toothless Hrgovic. His stamina is terrible

HW boxers tend to come back too soon after bad defeats, where they take heavy-handed shots to the head, chin, or jaw. Joyce has done this twice now (at least), coming back too soon. The damage is magnified at HW due to the power most of these guys possess. He is also an older gentleman overall. I think he should be resting, training, working on defense and stamina these days, if he wants to continue fighting. Take 8 months off. Head injuries are notoriously slow to heal, and further damage always puts fighters at risk of never being the same. It's tough to take a break and lose your spot in the "line", but long term, it will give you a much better chance to be viable and still dangerous later. Joyce shouldn't be fighting right now (win or lose), much like Wilder shouldn't have fought Zhang or Parker. Brain injuries take a very long time to heal, IF they heal.

Whatever happened to the nuthuggers that thought Hrgovic was the next coming of Christ? Much like Botysov & Dimitrenko before him.The same was said about Makhmudov, Teslennko, Dychko, Bakole. A loss doesn’t have to be career ending but in today’s landscape it is for some. Parker & Dubois are 2 examples of guys who took a step back & rebuilt themselves… Joyce beat both of them but at 39 the Juggernaut’s chin has been cracked…

UM, Hrgovic is much better than they are / were.

Basically true. I do not care for matches when someone is in obvious decline and had his egg cracked a few times vs. a younger bull in Hrgovic but such is the game. Unless of course the fighter is a protected cash cow who has gotten much hype and fame from weak competition Then he get s what he deserves.

Hrgovic, if he is for real, should end it. I hope he does so quickly as Joyce does not take a sustained beating.

If I were his trainer, I would work on Hrgovic's conditioning and power. He faced has some great punchers.
