New York State athletic commission are fken clowns, money hungry. So from here on now if Canelo, or Dyan Garcia or Devin Haney or Usyk etc etc whatever fighter gets hurt or touched or tired or gassed etc and they decide to take a knee mid way through a fight I better not see no 8 count and no warnings and no points taken away because if tank Davis can do it then so can the rest of the fighters. Everyone is equal.

Referee's never face punishment. The ref from the Abner mares fight that let 100 low blows go didn't get punished. Blow Joe Cortez didn't get punished for not disqualifying froid against jab zudah and this. Refs never get held responsible.

Hell it Was in New York when that ref was saving hankey from a Ryan KO. Nysac is trash just as every other crooked commision

Best thing is public shaming in the post fight interview on why they did a shlt job if even that then everyone goes about their day.

Because they have discretionary powers, all the above falls into those areas, you think they're going to disqualify the A grade superstar that's way in from and about to maybe stop his opponent, then gets intentionally lowblowed and the ring goes into pandemonium, your dreaming and don't know the rules and what reffs are operating in a system where they can call it or not.

This was different because it's a blatant hard-coded rule they are ignoring, you take a knee and a punch is involved, you lose a point. Davis loses, this is probably the worst decision by the commission Ive ever seen, I just cant fathom how they can rule the result stands.

Steve Willis should have at least been censured, if not suspended. He behaves more like a fan of certain fighters than an actual ref. I vividly remember his "performance" in the GGG-Lemieux fight.

Go watch the GGG-Lemieux fight again and tell me Willis wasn't behaving like a Golovkin fan. It made no difference in the outcome of the fight, but it's something I found to be bizarre at the time.

As BoxOffice said the real right decision would have been to DQ DAvis.. And what is galling is how the dwarf arrogently knew that he would not be given a loss in any split decision outcome.

Stank knew he only had to make it to the finish line and would not lose his title. Ridiculous. Shameful...
Yes this is how it is.

According to the rules David should have been DQ'd but, as was stated on another thread, the ref has charged and discretion during the fight so imo the best Roach might have expected was that NYAC would acknowledge their referee's mistake and declare a NC. Even that hasn't happened so now we know what we already suspected!

Him smiling like a moron shows he is unprofessional on his part. He did the same at the golovkin-Rosado fight. The guy literally became famous/meme from that. Yall acting like the guy is some sort of atg ref when in reality he's been amateurish from the start.

                      Exactly.

By completely disregarding the rules of the sport NYAC have just set a precedent for future actions by boxers, coaches, etc.
