I don't disagree on Rayo looking like a shell of himself that evening. I was shocked at how terrible he looked against Russell in comparison to his last fight, but then I started thinking about how different of a fighter Russell is to Pitbull, Los Santos, etc.. and hearing from Rayo's team that they had a terrific training camp.

You and other's might be right about Rayo not being himself, but for me, for now at least, I have to give Russell all the credit. Russell looked absolutely sensational and then you factor in the recent passing of his pops, well you also have a guy who also fighting for his pop's inspiration...

Once Russell stops throwing he becomes PitBull meaning standing in the pocket receiving shots
Rayo just wasn’t up to the task imo
He threw very little and not precise like he usually is
Again this is not to chit on Russell and his work but Rayo imo was just not there

I think Rayo is a good kid and I hope he can turn it around. I honestly thought he would come out ahead, but I must admit that Russell looked amazing while Rayo looked terrible and a fighter is only as good as his last fight..

Right now it appears that the sky is the limit for Russell while Rayo is gonna have to figure out many things before coming back. He still has to settle his legal issues with his ex manager and ex attorney. Rayo fired those cats because he thought they were hurting his career and now he loses badly with a team he thought made him a better fighter. It also appears that Rayo got screwed over when signing the contract to fight Russell and might have benefited from having someone looking out for his best interest....

I don't know the financial details of his contract with team Benavidez, but it has to be said that the Benavidez team invested a lot of time and effort in him while also treating him like family. I feel bad for Rayo and can't help but think that Team Benavidez might be feeling bad for Rayo as well...

I just don’t feel that Senior is out to look for anybody but his team
Besides Benny who’s obviously his son , he’s done a terrible job with Jose and ain’t carrying the torch with many other fighters
Need not look any further than what he has done with Pacheco and making him this normal fighter
I think his time should be invested totally in his son who takes much of his time
Like I said he has never been the successful trainer of any other fighter besides his son

You might be right about Senior Benavidez, I don't know him so I can't say he's a good man, but I do believe that he did spend a lot of time and effort in Rayo. I think he also offered him a place to stay, if I'm not mistaken...

Yeah I just don’t think it’s the right fit for Rayo
Like I said Jose sr should really focus on his son and only him
I also thought he did a horrible job with Jose Benavidez
