BUT when it comes to his favorite fighters he is just as biased as everybody else. He becomes one eyed fan just like all of us. I had a chuckle when I was reading that in highlights of both fights there are twice as many highlights of what Bivol did and not many highlights of what Beterbiev did. Maybe there is a logical reason for that? Maybe it is not all conspiracy? Quite often the simplest answer is the correct one. Perhaps there was not much worth showing of what Beterbiev did?
Thanks, I agree with you and am glad that you brought this point up. If Breadman like all of us was ever able to be objective then he wouldn't be a boxing fan. He would be someone else.

All fans are partial towards their favorite fighters with myself included. I am no exception. Our minds often trick us into believing what we want to see. Rather than seeing things as they are. It's called denial.

Our brain would often show us what we want to see. However for me, this fight was different. For this fight I had to use a very fine-tooth comb through every round, frame and second just to be as objective as I could possibly be.

I wanted to make sure that I had the right man winning this fight because personally; I couldn't see how any objective boxing fan can have Artur Beterbiev winning either fight.

When he wasn't throwing any punches and was being outpunched in both fights for not throwing punches. Bivol was simply the busier of the two fighters.

He threw and landed the cleaner and more accurate punches even while fighting off the back foot.

How could it not? He wasn’t facing the same animal from their first fight.
i agree. That fight should have never taken place so soon. It was just more gamesmanship by Ray Leonard. He even boasted how he knew of Duran's penchant to over eat, get fat and ballon well over 200 lbs between fights.

Which is the reason why he ordered an immediate rematch. However, since the money was so good; His handlers capitulated by persuading him to take it any way.

If a man has to cut more the 50 lbs in less than 12 weeks. It's very possible that he may have been feeling a bit weight drained and dehydrated.

While experiencing muscle spasms and cramps in the process. I am not saying that is what really happened or was true but it very well could have been possible.

Also, since Leonard has already admitted to some type of culpability and complicity in this matter; In scheduling the fight so soon to get an unfair advantage. Then yes, It does take away some kind of shine from his victory.

Hey, if Rocky Balboa can get into the HOF, then Meldrik Taylor is worthy too.

Regarding Taylor, the referee made the right call, all it takes is one punch and boom, dead.

Beterbiev and Bivol, although both awesome fighters, their fights didn't live up to the hype, was anticlimactic and kinda boring actually. Both fights were draws and round 12 was all Beterbiev.

Meldrick Taylor fought so well that night, he had earned the right to have it go to the cards.

And I agree with Bread. If Buddy McGirt is in the Hall of Fame then Taylor should be in too.
