Comments Thread For: Ashton Sylve's Father Believes His Son's Progress Has Been Slowed by Jake Paul

It's a bad look for Father's to be complaining about their son's promoters and the level of buzz surrounding their son after 10 fights. His son has beaten a pair of journeyman Brazilian fighters. Of ShoBox was still around, none of his fights would have merited being on one of their cards.

We can complain about lack of buzz if he beats Schofield in his next fight. I don't think he does however....

I mean, whose fault is that anyway? Someone on their side thought it was a good idea to team up with an inexperienced guy whose been putting on meaningless fights back to back. I think the best thing Jake had was getting Amanda Serrano to headline in PR and even that fell apart within minutes of kicking off. It's neat to see a guy with a big following jump into a sport that I've been a fan of forever, but if they bring along a circus show, I'm not entirely sure that benefits the sport. Yeah, more eyes, but more eyes want to see crazy nonsense bouts while the real fighters that are having meaningful fights are left in the dark.

There's a reason many promoters stay away from father trainer relationships, it's not the fighter himself but the father is all over the dammmm place. If I were a talented kid father and he's young and developing my whole thing would be coaching and not rushing my son and fighter so when opportunity does come that we take full advantage of it! He going to rush his son into an a_S whipping and be broke at the same time! I wonder why no big promoter picked his talented can't miss a_s up then? Make U say UMmmmmmmmmmmm
