She has no chance of being successful in MMA. I’ve always said it but you want punchers not someone with 2 KOs

They aren't going to give her anyone with any real grappling skills in her first fight you ignorant fool. If she got someone, for example with even just a solid purple belt in bjj shields would get submitted real quick. Get off your high horse you probably know nothing about mma.

I don’t like her but I gotta show her respect, takes some proper bravery to go into MMA when you can just stay in boxing and dominate

Dominate? That's a big word, more like she's in a time where there is no comp in women's boxing, not her fault, just the way it is, if she would if been around in a different era, should would be average, I could only imagine what a fighter like Ann Wolfe would of done to Shields. Regardless, it's always risky for boxers to go to MMA and vice versa, but I will say boxers have more success going to MMA, than MMA going to boxing, it's risky though.

Shields is not likeable or easy to promote. When she loses, she's going to be so humbled, I do not believe she will be able to recover.

Fighters who trash talk and are generally unlikeable are a hoot to promote. People paid to see someone try and take out Mayweather and Broner. Big, big money in being the heel, makes an otherwise uninteresting fight watchable.

I don't think it's going to work for Shields. It hasn't thus far.

Not really, Mercer caught fat slob Sylvia slipping, Holly Holm did well but the womens talent pool for both sports is so ****ty that it barely counts, Butterbean had a 17-10 record but competing at a lower level mostly in freakshow fights, Mark Potter went 5-2 but again at domestic UK level.

Other than that Toney tapped out in the first round, Mercer tapped to Kimbo in under 2 mins, Mayorga went 0-3 with one no contest competing at domestic level in ****ing Nicaragua, Art Jimmerson got submitted in like 2 mins at UFC 1. Kickboxer turned boxer Matt Skelton got tapped in under 2 mins. Julius Francis was stopped in around 2 mins at domestic UK level. Paulie managed to lose a bare knuckle boxing match to a guy with a 13-15 MMA record. Shannon Briggs had a kickboxing match with heavily wrestling based MMA fighter Tom Erickson, and though he won he was eating leg kicks and later admitted that he would have hit the canvas soon if it had carried on. Jarrell Miller lost twice in kickboxing to an old Cro Cop who had not long before been cut from the UFC after taking 3 KO losses in a row.

On other hand Lucas Browne went 5-2in MMA then switched to boxing. Fabio Maldonado was able to build up a 26-0 record in boxing thanks to typical boxing record padding , then at like 40 years old having been KO'd multiple times in MMA (including the same year) went the distance with Takam and top 10 ranked Rivas. Clay Collard who went 1-3 in the UFC was getting hyped up as the prospect killer in boxing, Kharitanov was screwed by the hometown judges vs Helenius in the ammys, Conor went 10 rounds with Floyd and outlanded him in 3 of those rounds. The final punch stats for Cunningham/Mir recently was 67 to 62. I wont claim Whyte as an MMA guy but he did move to boxing after doing MMA, and was a kickboxer first.
